Volunteer Opportunity - Business Support & Finance Volunteer
Are you an organised and financially minded individual looking to use your skills to support a local heritage charity?
The Aycliffe & District Bus Preservation Society and Aycliffe Bus Museum are seeking a volunteer to provide business, financial and administrative support to help strengthen the organisation and support its long-term sustainability.
As a volunteer, you will play a key role in ensuring the Society remains well-managed, financially resilient and able to continue preserving transport heritage for future generations.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with financial administration and record keeping.
Support budgeting, forecasting and financial planning activities.
Help prepare financial reports for the Committee and Trustees.
Assist with grant applications, funding claims and project administration.
Support membership administration and volunteer records.
Help develop business processes and governance procedures.
Provide advice and guidance on financial management and organisational development where appropriate.
What We're Looking For:
Experience in accounting, bookkeeping, finance, business administration or organisational management.
Strong organisational and administrative skills.
Good attention to detail and accuracy.
Experience with spreadsheets, financial systems or business reporting.
An interest in supporting a local charity, museum or heritage organisation.
Professional qualifications are welcomed but not essential.
