Rotary Donation supports 2026 Plans

Aycliffe & District Bus Preservation Society is delighted to announce that Rotary Club of Great Aycliffe has generously donated £200 to support the Society’s activities throughout 2026.

The donation will contribute towards the continued preservation, restoration, and operation of historic buses, as well as helping to expand community engagement, educational opportunities, and public events planned for the coming year.

As a volunteer-led organisation, Aycliffe & District Bus Preservation Society relies heavily on the generosity of local supporters, businesses, and community groups to continue safeguarding transport heritage for future generations. Contributions such as this play an important role in ensuring historic vehicles remain accessible to the public through museum open days, running events, educational visits, and community activities.

Chairman Alex Willis said:

"We are extremely grateful to Great Aycliffe Rotary Club for their kind donation. Their continued support for local community organisations makes a real difference, and this contribution will directly support our 2026 programme of events and preservation work."

The Society would like to extend its sincere thanks to Great Aycliffe Rotary Club for recognising the importance of preserving local transport history and supporting the work carried out by volunteers.
